As a leader in my family, at my workplace, and over my own life I must choose my attitude. This day is bringing unexpected challenges, struggles, trials or tests. The only defence I have is my positive, humble, noncomplaining, uncompromising, and overcoming attitude.

As I fail, I choose to smile and then simply get on with the next thing -- I don’t look for justice.

s
With tolerance I patiently accept the present difficulty.
s
I don’t rouse the discontent of self-pity by wallowing -- I won’t let it in.
s
When my attitude is faltering, in that moment, I rectify the imbalance.
s
I see my life holistically; a broad, balanced, non-compartmentalised view.
s
I am cool and unruffled in every circumstance possible.

s
I try to not argue or complain.
s
I make up my mind.
s
I simplify and focus.
s
I accept differences, exercising patience as much as possible.
s
I endeavour to be me.
s
When things go wrong I try to contemplate my response before I act.

How do I feel? What is wise? What shall I do?

I strive to control my mood. My mental game, my direct worldview, is my best ally. Aligning my expectations with my talents and present realities is my aim.

These things above, all states of mind, are present actualities. It’s up to me. Nothing taken for granted, everything received with gratitude, everything passed on with grace.

As I act now, trusting my presence of mind, in Faith, I see suddenly from the proper perspective in the throes of the onslaught of life.

Hold me dear God, reminding me gently and firmly of these thoughts as I meet the situation before me right now. May it continue as it started; in peace. Like a clock during a thunderstorm, my quieted mind to endure.
