The LORD Will Come

“Let us acknowledge the Lord;

let us press on to acknowledge him.

As surely as the sun rises,

he will appear;

he will come to us like the winter rains,

like the spring rains that water the earth.”

~Hosea 6:3 (NIV, 2010).

This promise comes with a condition. Heaven will not help us—if like Israel, in context—we do not repent. We must repent.

This is not a one-off event. It’s a lifestyle choice. It’s a daily condition we choose to submit ourselves to—if we’re wise; if we know our proper place.

Acknowledgement of God – With a Promise

We do not serve an egotistical or egocentric God. By way of the system of the world we’re blessed to simply rate, at truth, the works and nature of God as they readily show themselves.

When we do properly acknowledge the Lord, by living humbly, justly and truthfully, we know that he will come. It is not because we’ve managed our side of the bargain. Rather it’s the nature of God to rain power over his obedient creation.
