“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.”
~2 Corinthians 3:17 (NIV).
Absolutely nothing can restrain us beyond God’s will.
We will be free spiritually and we cannot be hemmed in, in this state.
Freedom is Spiritual boldness. As an apostle, Paul was lauding his ability—free in Christ—to expound the holy blessings of the kingdom of God, in and through Jesus Christ, our Lord. But, there are so many permeations and fine distinctions of freedom with which to cast our awing eye.
I’m free—in Christ—anywhere, anytime. Free to engage with God and free to do his will.
Pleasing God is no longer about meeting every requirement on some non-exhaustive “list” of rules and moral policy. It’s simply about gazing at the cross and the person of Jesus of Nazareth—him who came to save me.
This is no new News. It happened as an event some 1,980 years ago and the scale of legalistic shackling that prevailed once around our wrists and ankles—our spiritual manacles—is now cut clean through. Is, and always will be.
Unrestrained, we float into the stratosphere of thought and spirit, and high above the clouds spiritually, we gather with others of like-mind in blissful formation—and we soar there together!
“... those who hope in the LORD
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.”
~Isaiah 40:31 (NIV).
Our freedom has become our energy. Our love abounds and knows no limit. We know Jesus and suddenly we see the reality that he’s always known us; he’s been searching for us all this time!
Set to soar. In wisdom and in truth, we think and therefore we act. For the very first time we know the reason for love—it is instilled in us, Spiritually, and certainly beyond our own understanding.
But it is freedom we’re most rapt about. We always come back to the personal benefit and there’s nothing wrong with it. Simply, the personal benefit cannot be counted. It is too abundant.
God has sprung this on us and we stand amazed at his power, wisdom and grace.
Freedom: buy your perfect portion today! The cost is simple acceptance. What is free to obtain costs only what God can give us—an open heart and mind to his Word and Spirit.
