Think of a time when you’d lost confidence in one another, either in marriage, a business relationship or any other relationship for that matter. It’s a time when trust is at an all time low.

I had one time recently where this occurred to me in one of my key relationships.
Times like this require great faith (of manifest patience) to trust one step at a time as the relationship recovers, so we’re not too despondent at the inevitable hiccups that come alone the road to recovery.
Often times the damage caused to relationships prior to the impasse or conciliation process means there’s already much strained rapport that we were hardly even aware of. It takes a special person and a special type of character trait to ‘get over’ these things--not everyone, I’m sure, is capable of it. Pride gets in the way sometimes. It requires humility, and not everyone it seems has even the smallest reserves of that quality.
Getting our relationships back on track does take time and perseverance. Early signs of mutual effort are encouraging, however, and can even facilitate a sustainable hiatus in the fracas toward a rapport at even new heights compared with the past.
We can therefore learn to laugh with the other party, as we collectively enjoy the revelation of our past folly, in learning to sweep through these awkward times with gladness.
A good friend recently shared this quote with me. “I have always grown from my problems and challenges, from the things that don’t work out, that’s when I’ve really learned” –Carol Burnett.

The conflict you’re having right now might be the very stimulus you both need for new life in that relationship.
